Add to basketBlue cloth with gilt. spine lettering, virtually pristine. col. f/piece + vii + 153, illustrated throughout with ills. numbered by chapter, 1 coloured; 1970 dated gift inscription from author top fr. end-paper (4 lines) above penciled sig. of Derek Gibson above acquisition dated 17.3.06, this being Derek Gair Gibson (1935-2021) the eminent pioneering cardiologist, so a very good provenance, otherwise internally clean, tight and unmarked. Unclipped jacket but some edge nicks/ chips along top edge, top front edge internally very tanned and fragile, nicks now internally closed and edge reinforced with archival tear repair tape, will add protective sleeve when ordered, otherwise clean and unmarked bar small rub to centre front of little consequence. A desirable copy of this scarce work. 19 cm x 25 cm.
