Illustrated with twenty- seven illustrations and thirty-four tables .Published for the Institute for Research in the Social Sciences University of Virginia, being Monograph 14. Davis argued against prevailing ideas about inherent intellectual inferiority in lower classes (and by extension, races), pointing to environmental and cultural factors as key differentiators in achievement.
