Charles Scribner's Sons. Cleveland, Ohio, August 1901. Cleveland, For Private Circulation, 1901. October 1901. 6 in. x 4 in. 75 pp. Red cloth, title, etc. gilt on spine & front cover. Presented & SIGNED by Cleveland, Ohio based book collector Paul Lemperly to Munson Havens. With Havens' bookplate. Contains a 1p. ALS of Andrew Lang (SIGNED) dated Jan. 22, 1896, regarding getting new books. Number 21 of only 50 copies (none were for sale). Spine slightly browned, minor wear to corners, a few small signs of wear to letter. Both Lemperly & Havens were members of Cleveland's book collector's club (The Rowfant Club). With Munson & Hetty Ganson Havens bookplate; inscription reading: "To Mr. M. A. Havens with regards of Paul Lemperly Nov. 30. 1906." (Inscription over printed address: Jan 22 1896 Lang wants books. 8, Gibson Place, St. Andrews, Scotland. Jan 22) Dear Sir Than I "shall keep it short. I wish any new books could be sent, as Manning's and Rossetti's Lives. Here we see nothing, if not, I will order them. Sincerly yours A. Lang.".
