Signed by Captain Lipsner on front free end paper to his son, "To my dear son Milton Arthur Lipsner I know you will enjoy reading this book first, because I dedicated it to your Mother and seriously you are an airman. Wishing you an abundance of all the good things in life. Lovingly your Father. This is a first edition Chicago, Ill. April 23rd 1951." And then signed "Captain Benjamin B. Lipsner" on title page. Captain Benjamin B. Lipsner (1887-1971) was an American military officer and civil servant. He served as the first supervisor of the Post Office Department's airmail service from September to December 1918. He was known as the "father of commercial aviation". Illustrate with drawings and black & white photographs. The book is in good condition with some shelf wear, rubbing to edges, bumping to corners and bumping to top of spine.
