Dust jacket in mylar protector; spine lightly age-toned with monir wear at corners and at head and tail of spine. Slight fading to edges of boards; text block slightly age-toned with small stain on front free endpaper. Signed by the author on the front free endpaper. Six typed letters and postmarked envelopes signed by Alfred Kazin addressed to Jeffrey Schaire, dated 1984, 1995 and 1991. Three letters are typed on Alfred Kazin's personal stationary with sizes range from 5 ½ x 8 1/2 " to 8 ½ x 11". All letters are in good condition with letter crease folds.
