Basis for the 1938 British comedy film directed by Marcel Varnel and starring Bud Flanagan, Chesney Allen, Jimmy Nervo, Alastair Sim and Peter Gawthorne. Scarce. This copy with photograph of Darlington clipped from a magazine pasted to front endpaper, and is signed by the author. Near Fine in Good dustjacket, split along front spine edge, shallow loss at top spine end and flap corners, some stains to spine. Seller Inventory # 32977
