A smart four volume set of first edition texts from English Egyptologist Aidan Dodson, signed by the author. Four volumes. First editions. Each volume is signed and inscribed by the author on either the title page or dedication page to Martin Davies, a British Egyptologist, the President of the Egypt Society of Bristol and Vice-President of the Egypt Exploration Society. One of these works is also dedicated to Davies as a friend of the author. Written by Aidan Mark Dodson, an English Egyptologist and historian. This set includes: Amarna Sunset: Nefertiti, Tutankhamun, Ay, Horemheb, and the Egyptian Counter-Reformation, 2009. Illustrated with five maps and one hundred and one figures in-text. Collated complete. A study of the decline and fall of the Pharaoh Akhenaten's religious revolution of the fourteenth century BCE, tracing the subsequent collapse of his rule. Poisoned Legacy: The Fall of the Nineteenth Egyptian Dynasty, 2010. Illustrated with four maps and one hundred and twenty-seven in-text figures. Collated complete. Commentary of the quick decline of the Nineteenth Dynasty following the death of Ramesses II, culminating in a final civil war that ended with the accession of a new dynasty.
