Signed boldly by the author with inscription on the front endpage, "To Alida from her friend & teacher, Ted Shawn, Jacob's Pillow August 1946." Illustrated with dramatic dance photos. Well-bound. The interior is nicely preserved. Paper has toned to a deep ivory. Rear endpages have childish scribbling in pencil (could be erased). Thick covers have moderate wear for their vintage, but have surface blemishes and darkening at upper edges. Spine panel has faded with illegible lettering. Spine head has a thin fringe of frayed threads. A copy that has held up well over time, but the covers are not too pretty. Seller Inventory # 023468
