Black cloth binding, 178 pages with numerous illustrations and photographs, "This is the first book to be published on the general subject of American knives.", remnant of former owner's address label on front end paper, unclipped dust jacket with a few minor edge tears and small quarter inch piece missing from front right lower corner and small stain to rear bottom of dj, otherwise in pretty good condition, book is clean, complete, and tight. This book is signed by the author and inscribed to the owner (Address label present on front end-paper) The owner (and author) were both friends and members/fellow of "The Company of Military Collectors and Historians" The book owner was in the "Company" from 1955-1998.GREAT ASSOCIATION COPY.
