London: Smith, Edler & co, 1865. First edition. Hardcover. 266pp. Presentation copy inscribed by author. Contemporary note of Shropshire newspaper reviews in contemporary hand to half-title. Review in paper reads Very far above the average of little volumes" (3 June, 1865). Original blue cloth with gilt emblem, some wear to corners and edges of spine, some pencil notes inside. A very good copy.
