First edition thus, reprinting a portion of Antiques and Amber (published by the Derrydale Press in 1928). 1 vols. 8vo. This volume was dedicated to Adele De Leeuw and her sister Cateau De Leeuw (who designed the book s cover); both sisters were prolific writers of fiction and non-fiction. Inscribed on front free endpaper: "For Adele / Who spurs the Muse to accomplishment, and who has the eternal love of Anne Lloyd / 1941". Anne Lloyd (1874-1948) is best known for The Story of Canada Blackie (1915) and for her book of poems Antiques and Amber, published by The Derrydale Press in 1928. The present volume reprints the contents of the first portion of that book, Antiques, in a different sequence. Original decorated paper wrappers, stapled.
