About this Item
This is pretty much a textbook examining the evidence of previous humans, focusing particularly on anatomy, going back to the earliest evidence known at that time. The author was closely involved in evaluating the Piltdown Man remains (shown on the front cover of the book) and used these remains, that turned out to be fraudulent, to support the European origin of humans. This volume is inscribed to Morley Roberts, an English novelist, and a signed photograph of Kieth in his lab measuring skulls is pasted inside the cover. Spine faded and top and bottom show wear; rear hinge split but holding. Newspaper article by Warren R. Dawson on "The Earliest Londoner" pasted in last pages of book. Seller Inventory # 001212
