Cloth and boards. 8vo. Pictorial dust jacket with unclipped flap. Inscribed by Fast to his three nieces and nephews, Gerri, Sue and Lou Miller. Scarce first printing of this coming-of-age novel about a young boy's baptism by fire during the battle of Lexington. A very good copy with some light soiling and tip wear to the spine. The text has some scattered light foxing. The jacket is very good with some light chipping to the top and bottom edge, a small stain to the center of the spine and some soiling to the rear panel.
