The exclusive introduction is by Clive Barker (some art is from Barker's Hellraiser). A truly wonderful art book, with vividly imagined pictures across all the genres that Serra works within. Large format, heavy art paper, great printing quality. Dani’s main influences and inspirations come from weird and horror fiction written by H. P. Lovecraft and William H.ope Hodgson, Ridley Scott movies, Japanese horror films and Clive Barker’s works “This artbook is very important to me because it represents my last 4 years; my most important works since 2016. It consists of commissioned works, book covers, internal illustrations for books, posters, amongst other things; but sometimes you can find a piece that I have created just for me, during the night, when I can’t stop drawing because I need to create something that starts inside me, usually landscapes or little portraits.This book is like a random journey, I haven’t put the illustrations in any particular order, so anyone can take it, take a seat on a good armchair and look through the book without a sense. Maybe you can take a look at just a couple of pages in the centre of the book and after that, close it, waiting for the right moment to pick it up again and maybe browse ten more. My advice? Take your time, it is like a little exhibition with a ticket which never expires. Hope you can savour it slowly just when you need it.I would like to thank Clive Barker for the introduction. I have grown up with his books and films so to have him in my book is like a dream come true.
