From the colophon: "The illustrations in this volume are hand-printed by th artist from copper plates worked by engraving, etching, aquatint, drilling and grinding; the colours are printed in both intaglio and relief, and some additional colour is finally applied by hand. . . . The book is designed and printed by Will and Sebastian Carter at the Rampant Lions Press, Cambridge, on paper hand-made at the Richard de Bas mill at Ambert in the French Auvergne."
