Whyalla Norrie, The Author, 1979, 1983 (second, revised and enlarged edition), 1982 and 1985. Quarto, four volumes, with hundreds of illustrations. Cloth; edges of the first volume a little flecked; edges of third volume a little nibbled; overall an excellent group with the dustwrappers slightly creased at the extremities and a couple of slight tears. The first edition of 'Australian Banknotes' is inscribed, dated (27 January 1984) and signed by the author. The remaining volumes are all number 23 of a limited edition of only 50 copies signed by the author. The subtitle to 'Banks of Issue in Australia' is 'Early paper currencies from 1788, notes issued by banks 1817-1910, notes issued by state governments 1893-1910, notes overprinted by the Australian government (Superscribed notes) 1910-1914'.
