Octavo. [2], 48 pp. Limited edition, number 610 of 1500 copies. Signed and inscribed on the half title. As issued, in publisher's cloth-backed, patterned paper over boards, lacking the original glassine wrapper. Some wear to the head and tail of the spine; minor rubbing to the board edges; spine is a bit darkened; light and even toning to the margins of the pages; generally clean. On the front free endpaper Nathan notes, "My own copy / RN." Ultimately it would be inscribed and presented to his father with a wonderful, meaningful inscription: "For Dad from Bob -- Men nobler than myself have set me like a tree; my roots are in their dust." A fantastic association copy of one of Nathan's earliest collections of poems. Laurence A9.
