CONTENTS DESCRIPTION: Tells the story of the bandits, the vigilance committee, and law enforcement in the early mining regions of Northern Idaho and NW Montana. Nice reprint edition of a rare piece of Western Americana and outlaw related material. With inked presentation from Jerome Peltier to his son Charles and with newspaper clipping of the book's review in the local Spokane paper. Jerome Peltier was for many years the owner of an antiquarian book store in Spokane, Washington. He gathered large collections of western history books, manuscripts and artifacts. Mr. Peltier did extensive research on topics, and collected original material from early pioneers via correspondence and acquaintance.
