Contents clean and tight, patterned endpapers, original endpaper tipped in with James Fisher's signature and an inscription " from F. B. Whitlock, Beeston, Notts , england 11 Dec. 1893" otherwise unmarked. A clean very good first edition. The Author, Whitlock, was convicted of embezzlement and sentenced to 11 years in prison. Loosely inserted is a facsimile of the £100 reward poster. Size: 8vo.
