The top edges of the covers & the head of the spine are slightly faded & there is a small dark blue stain to the cloth of the rear cover. The dust jacket is lightly rubbed with some darkening & light foxing to the flaps. 211 pages. There is some very light foxing to the pastedowns & endpapers. Very good. First edition.Inscribed by the author on the half-title and signed "Dotson".Dotson Rader recounts his experiences as a leftist and protester in the sixties. As the decade progressed, he describes himself as becoming a "radical democratic-socialist" who participated in most of the major events of the New Left and antiwar movements. In the early seventies he was overtaken by disillusionment and fatigue and a sense of the failure of ideas, imagination and community action.
