Vellum-backed with gilkt lettering and design. Over cream boards with cover vignettes in gilt. Top front corner bumped. Top edge gilt with others untrimmed. Small seller's label bottom of front pastedown, "W.H. Smith and Son, Paris". This edition was limited to 575 copies, this being #307, SIGNED BY RACKHAM on the limitation page. Sixteen full-page color illustrations tipped-onto white card stock, each with a protective, captioned tissue-guard. Collated complete. There are an additional 24 drawings in black and white through the text material. Wide margins, very crisp and clean copy. 169pp. See Latimore and Haskell p.50 and Riall p.137. Size: Quarto.
