One of the early skaters of the Southern California crew made famous by the documentary film "Dogtown and Z-Boys" (2001), Humpston founded Dogtown Skates with Jim Muir, the brother of Suicidal Tendencies frontman Mike Muir. Their innovative and iconic designs played an essential part in defining the visual identity of skateboard culture.
