A signed second impression of the first edition of this crime novel concerning an unlikely anti-hero - the bend policeman. While the corrupt DS Stallworthy would be content to retire to the seaside, his wife Lily dreams of paradise. A shady gangster conveniently offers to hand him the keys to a hotel on the tropical island of Ko Samui, in exchange for the theft of an incriminating file. As the deadline for removing the file grows nearer (and Lily grows more impatient) DS Stallworthy resorts more and more proactively to crime - only to discover there is no going back. In the original publisher's cloth binding with the original dustwrapper. Negligible bumping to tail of spine. Dust jacket in excellent condition, with only some fading to blue/purple ink.
