THE STORY

Ron Lionel is the hottest creator working in comic books today. His comic series, The Enduring, sells out every month and is set to become a major motion picture. Ron has no problem using his status to get what he wants, whether that be special treatment from his publisher or seducing fangirls into bed.

Joe Cotter, on the other hand, gave up his dreams of being a writer years ago, and now lives for a steady paycheck. Joe has a sense of right and wrong that was born from years of reading comics, and has long dreamed of living a more adventurous life. As the security chief for America's Finest Comic Book Expo in San Diego, he's as strong-willed as any hero with a power ring. But something in his life is missing: his purpose.

Enter Velma, an obsessed fan with some disturbing questions about The Enduring. When her righteous plan to gather answers backfires, she becomes obsessed with getting revenge against Ron Lionel. Velma sweeps the two men into a dangerous world where heroes and villains don't come from spider bites, or alien planets, or have simple backstories -- and none of them may survive the final fight.

Richard Andreoli is a writer living in Los Angeles. He's written about educational programs at LA County Jail, crafted bitchy dialogue for the nighttime soap operas Fashion House and American Heiress, and launched numerous pop culture websites and online properties. For many years, he worked at San Diego Comic-Con (now known as Comic-Con International: San Diego) where he volunteered in their registration, treasury, and events departments. Later, he produced their monthly member magazine, which included interviews and spotlights on both convention attendees and professionals. Richard attended UCLA where he majored in English Literature with an emphasis in Creative Writing and graduated Magna Cum Laude. He later developed his comedy writing and improv skills at The Groundlings school. Richard's writing career began with developing television and movie projects in the entertainment industry. He later transitioned to being a full-time writer, where he honed his humor and mainstream reportage for print publications, marketing projects, and TV shows. Richard has produced stand-up comedy and live theater, written for magazines and websites, and provided copy for movie posters, greeting cards, and press kits.. He also launched and edited numerous successful websites -- namely the pop culture destination FirstToKnow.com, women's "how to" site Knoworthy, and men's product review site TopKit.com. In 2004 he also published Mondo Homo: Your Essential Guide to Queer Pop Culture. Currently, he is the Creative Director for TV4 Entertainment, the global leader in OTT streaming with more than 30 genre-focused channels. In his spare time, he runs away with the circus, performing at cabarets and coaching trapeze at Cirque School Los Angeles.

Michele Svengsouk has been an illustrator and designer for more than 20 years. She is a collector of (almost) everything that has to do with geek culture, and has worked on everything from iconic Disney characters to designing graphics for horror websites. Currently the Creative Director for the independent media publisher Popularium, Michele developed and launched the company's overall visual identity, and continues creating and overseeing all of the site's story illustrations. Frank Svengsouk picked up a pencil at a very young age and never let go. He's been fortunate to be able to take his love of cinema, comics, and pop culture and turn it into fodder for his art and career. Frank has been working for more than 10 years at Disney, creating online content and website experiences.
