But the book is far more than a documentary, it is a journey through the inner and outer landscapes of a young Kentucky wilderness rebel poet who has returned home for the first time since he left for good when he was 17. Beaver Dam Rocking Chair Marathon is much more than a bildungsroman, a novel of becoming, it is the epic narrative of a place a people a time like no other, Kentucky July 1973.
