Slim octavo; publisher's cloth-backed boards, red topstain, in white pictorial dust jacket retaining original price ($3.00); [10],67pp. Very light wear and dust-soil to dust jacket margins, else a Very Good or better copy in the dust jacket featuring a blurb by Robert Lowell and the haunting artwork of Ellen Raskin, future Newbery Award-winning author of The Westing Game. Anne Sexton's first poetry collection, inscribed and signed on half title page, "with my best wishes, Anne Sexton / Nov. 1962." Sexton was eventually awarded the Pulitzer Prize for Poetry for her collection "Live or Die.".
