Original 1st issue DJ with $4.95 price intact on the DJ flap. Red cloth panels. Red topstain. Book is tight, bright and in seemingly unread condition. Very faint discoloration to red cloth on one corner. A thin faint wrinkle on cloth. Original DJ is bright. Closed tear on front. Rear of DJ has a couple of closed tears and creases with tape reinforcement on verso. Upon presenting this for signing, Mr. Doctorow commented on how this is his rarest book and overall quite rare. He noted that he would never grant the rights to republish it. It was a title he had fallen out of favor with and if you visit his website the title is not even listed under books he has written. A near fine first edition, first printing of Doctorow's rarest title; in a VG- original DJ. Signed. Seller Inventory # 002397
