Isaac Metzker was a longtime editor of and contributor to the Jewish Daily Forward, the author of five novels in Yiddish. He is credited for publicizing letters from Holocaust survivors to their relatives in the Forward’s "Seeking Relatives column," which helped thousands of Jewish refugees and Holocaust survivors start new lives in the U.S. The book contains a bundle of Yiddish letters originally published in Forward’s signature advice column, "A Bintel Brief." The book which has minor wear is inscribed by Metzker to Bill. 6" - 8½".
