The wraps have edge wear, with a few small spots rubbed thru. Blank end papers toning. Original owner's name on the front wrap (the same person Hosack's inscription is to). Biography of Hugh Williamson, Signer of the Declaration of Independence, and for representing North Carolina at the Constitutional Convention. David Hopsack was a founder of the New-York Historical Society, and is perhaps more widely known to have been the doctor who attended Alexander Hamilton after his fatal injury in his duel with Aaron Burr.
