In very good tan cloth boards with brown titles to front with silhouette of bird; brown titles to spine. The boards are clean, straight and quite firm; spine ends and corners a little bumped. Lightly tanned and marked free end papers; dedication from the author of front free end paper - "L/Cpl R. S. Badcoe, with all good wishes from The Author Arthru F Cobb, July 1941". The letter from the author has his address impressed. It explains why he wrote the book and how the took all the photos; most interesting. The text block is on very white glossy paper with bright black and white photos, including frontispiece with unmarked tissue guard. The pages are tightly bound, even and clean. Not annotated. Very good plus condition. Inside good yellow dust jacket with black and white photo of penguins to front and black titles. The jacket is not marked, the ends of spine and edges are worn and with a few small open and closed tears. Not clipped. In removable protective sleeve.
