Signed and inscribed (to nobody in particular) "--The soul of culture is its music--Tom Reed 1996". The book is packed with great photos of the black musicians, night club owners, music purveyors, and so forth who populated the very active music scene of Los Angeles from the 1920s onward. The book has sound hinges and is not cocked. Pages are clean and bright with no marks, creases, wrinkles or stains. The book's exterior is clean with a few minor scuff marks or scrapes. Cover corners are not bumped and there is just a trace of wear to the bottom edges of covers and spine. Missing the original dust jacket. (Note: Photos may show a flash reflection.) PayPal always welcome. We pack all our books with care and ship in cardboard boxes. Shipment outside of the United States will require extra funds for this heavy book. Additional photos emailed upon request. F4.
