Item description from seller

The Bow River rises in the Rocky Mountains near Banff and is fishable most of the way to the junction with the Oldman near Medicine Hat. McLennan looks at the river in 3 stages, largely from a fishing (dry-fly) perspective but also from a wildlife, history and a canoeist's perspective. He comments on the HIGHS and the lows of the fishery as they are related to city growth, pollution, and angler involvement. There are many colour photos throughout the text (156 pages) as well as b/w illus. Some of the latter are strictly aesthetic and others are instructional. Note: Fly Tying Section - pages 101 - 110. Book is a selection of Trout Unlimited. Cond: Royal blue boards w/ sim. dust jacket. Latter has photo of Bow in mountain section. D.J. not price-clipped. All corners and edges are sharp and almost w/o wear. Gift inscription (1990) on ffep. Gift inscription by author - 2'nd blank page. Author has signed title page. . QUote: (p.59) " ._._.suitable spawning grounds. The rainbows of the Middle Bow find theirs in the streams of the Highwood River system, to which they migrate starting in early April.
