Item description from seller

Book Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. First American Edition. Illustrated. 306 pages. Personal inscription and autograph by Plimpton on front end paper. During Plimpton's quest to experience "game conditions" with the best experts, he played percussion with the New York Philharmonic. This inscription is of that era, the inscription reading: "For Carl, with very best wishes George Plimpton." One of the most insightful & humorous "inside views" of life on the pro Tour is this accounting of Plimpton's month-long tour career. Bright, tight copy, no owner name, bookplate, soiling, markings, etc. Dust jacket unclipped. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. Signed and Inscribed by Author.
