First edition thus large-paper illustrated edition hard back binding in publisher's original half vellum, grey paper sides, gilt title lettering to the spine, top edge gilt, others uncut. Royal 4to. 15½'' x 12''. This edition on large paper containing the original lithograph, which has been taken off the stone after printing with hand written number 6 of 75 Limited Edition copies for sale in England and the United States. Contains (xiv), 415 printed pages of text, enriched with 37 tipped in colour plates with lettered paper guards, one of which is the original SIGNED lithograph, all mounted at large, also with 36 monochrome illustrations by Brangwyn many taken from photographs. A few minor marks to the covers and in very near Fine condition.
