Hand-bound by Carolyn Whitesel in black Japanese book cloth over boards along with an exposed spine binding with hand sewn signatures incorporating waxed linen thread around black tape. Oblong. 23 by 29 cm. Unpaginated. Contains 24 full color photographs by Friedman printed on Hahnemuhle Fine Art archival 100 percent cotton paper 310 gsm along with writing by 24 nationally and internationally recognized authors and poets. Pictorial photosensitized aluminum featuring an original work by Friedman is affixed to front cover of the book. Composition and printing by Leslie Shane and Gray Zeitz at Larkspur Press; handset in Garamond and Ratdolt type and printed on a hand-fed C & P on dampened Hahnemuhle Copperplate paper 300 gsm. This copy belonged to one of the book's contributors, Nancy Willard, a Newbery Medal winner. In fine condition. Lacking the handmade cherry wood box by John Reeb (possibly due to this being a working proof copy). Limited edition of 20 copies, this being the Artist's Proof (A. P.) copy. Seller Inventory # 2686
