About this Item

Octavo, 223pp., illustrated. A crisp, clean copy, very good, with a faint mustiness, and some rubbing to the boards. This is number 145 of 1000 limited copies SIGNED by Zeitner and Lincoln Borglum on the front paste-down. Lincoln Borglum, also a sculptor, took over his father Gutzon's Mount Rushmore project in May, 1941, when Gutzon died unexpectedly. The monument was deemed complete in October of that year. Though not a particularly small edition, the signed limited issue is quite scarce; we found no other copies in commerce as of this listing.
