Synopsis

His son Botolph is born into humble surroundings. Some years later Botolph is sent to be educated at the abbey of Cantwarebury. This is the first in a trilogy, the story of Botolph, a fiction based on the real life Botolph who went on to become one of the greatest of the seventh century English missionaries and Patron Saint of Wayfarers.
