SIGNED. Octavo [21.5 cm] 308pp. Natural beige cloth over boards with gilt stamping on the backstrip and front board. Publisher's black top stain. The spine is a bit rolled. Several of the board edges are just a hair toned. In a price-clipped dust jacket, with general mild rubbing to the panels. There is a crease in the rear flap that runs from the head to the foot. Inscribed by Doris Lessing on the dedication page, with no specific recipient: "Greetings, Doris Lessing, 17th July 1980. 24?" A postcard, signed and dated by Lessing is also laid in.
