About this Item
Signed by both David Butler and Michael Pinto-Duschinsky and dedicated to a colleague (Richard Webster) who had helped with the book. David Butler was a celebrated psephologist and broadcaster who worked on election night programmes for many years. He died recently at the age of 98. Both book and dw are fine. The text block is square and tight, the cloth bound covers sharp edged and unmarked. There is a previous resale price pencilled at the top of the ffep but no other marks or writing apart from the signatures and dedication. The dw is clean and new looking apart from some slight fading of the red and blue crosses on the spine panel. This is the eighth in the renowned series from the Nuffield College, Oxford - unsurpassed as a study of the background, main characters, events and results of the 1970 general election.
