INSCRIBED by Bruno Walter- Chicago 1955. Light orange cloth with gilt titles in very good condition in like jacket. 344 pp. + i- xx index. Walter was heroic in his support of Western European music, musicians and contemporary composers in 1st half of 20th Century. This volume captures his recollections of his professional journey. He supported many of the politically/ethnically vilified musicians when unpopular to do so. Noble and revered. Any decent copy of this book is difficult to find; inscribed copies scare, indeed.
