Near fine condition in very nice slipcase. 8vo., pictorial tan cloth, stamped in black, in original plastic dust jacket; housed in a nice cardboard slipcase; 168 pages Facsimile Reproduction of the 1863 Richmond Edition. With a special presentation plate laid in, wishing The Confederate States of America Christmas wishes from the Steck Company, based in Austin, Texas. The plate is signed by L.R. McLennan (who maybe a representative of the publisher or associated with the CSA?). Also inscribed again "Best wishes always" by Layce J. McLennan and also signed by L.R. McLennan (dated "1-7-62"). An interesting copy. An account of the early days of the Civil War as told by the chaplain of the Fourth Texas Regiment of the C.S.A. Seller Inventory # 57817
