Paul Jacobs (1918-1978) was a pioneering activist, journalist, and co-founder of Mother Jones magazine. Mailer's interpretation of the Goldwater Convention in San Francisco, take on the United States' policy in Vietnam, views on sexual attitudes in America, etc. Fine in bright, near fine dust jacket with title lettering at spine mellowed from yellow to white and light rubbing to edges and folds. At present it is by appointment only and housed in the home of the Ahearn's eldest daughter, Beth Ahearn Fisher, who is carrying on the family bookselling tradition. Our current stock of approximately 3,500 books consists mainly of first editions of American and English Literature including Mysteries and Detective Stories, Science Fiction, Children's and Illustrated Books. We also collectible books in all fields. Over the years, we have published more than 200 individual Author Price Guides; and Allen and Patricia authored the well-regarded books on book collecting, "Collected Books: The Guide to Identification and Values" (4th ed., 2011) and "Book Collecting 2000: A Comprehensive Guide."
