This is one of only 100 copies produced for the friends of the Author. There are 30 mounted black and white photographs, and other illustrations. The signed presentation on the half-title is to Madame Fanny Thibout "qui a si bien compris l'art des Sakharoff - en tres sympathique hommage" She was the Grande Dame du folklore Wallon. Sadly the paper spine of the book has given up the ghost, and some of the sewn sections are apart. It could be a good rebinding project, but is perfectly capable of being read as is. The very beautiful and simple Art Deco cover design is by Nathalie Gontcharova. This is an extremely scarce offering at a price allowing for re-binding.
