Loosely inserted:- (1) photocopy, on five leaves stapled together and folded, of author's article "A Hundred Years of Fiction: 1896-1996" - No. 12 in series "The English Novel in the Twentieth Century" published 1996 in "Contemporary Review", (2) a short handwritten signed letter dated January 1997 from author to reader concerning the article and one of the reader's friends in Turkey, and (3) a short typed note giving a reader's impressions of The Cosway Miniature and Rubens' style.
