About this Item

Ltd ed 245/500, ffep opposite half title signed by the artist, Helen Allingham. Contains frontispiece and 64 full colour paste down plates of Allingham's pictures, all excellent and unspoiled, protective sheets all still intact. Pages also bright throughout Gilt lettering and design on front board, tope edge also gilt. Front board very minorly sprung, previous owners' attractive book plate and adress card on front paste down and ffep respectively. Slight discolouration to ffep, small water stain running through top corner of ffeps, slight pink tinge to page edges, minimal bumping to spine and both boards a little grubby. Still, a very good copy of this scarce book.
