Octavo, 460 pages. In Very Good condition with a Very Good minus dust jacket. White spine with blue and black lettering. Dust jacket is wrapped in a mylar cover, price uncut "$5.95", has creasing to edges, chipping to corners, a tear along the rear top edge, and rubbing wear throughout. Boards have bumping to spine ends and bottom fore corners, light age toning to spine head/tail, and mild wear throughout. Textblock has age toning and light soiling to edges, and mild shelving wear. Inscribed "to Ray Scherer with best wishes" and signed "from Dick Nixon" on the front free end page. Shelved in Case 1 1/2. Ray Scherer (1919-2000) was an NBC News correspondent, best known for his extensive service as the network's chief White House correspondent. He spent over two decades covering the White House, Congress, and Washington, D.C., reporting on the administrations of six presidents from Harry Truman to Gerald Ford. 1404630.
