This first edition (1930) has an extensive gift inscription from author Anne M. Halladay with a bear paw doodle to John Houston Ho??? (I can't read the last 3 letters) on page before title page. Birthday Gift inscription to "Johnnie from Boboo dated March 10, 1949 on opposite page. No dust jacket. Covers show some soiling, rubbing, scuffing and faint red marker marks as well as some small stains. Edges show some bumping, rubbing, scuffing, fraying and wear. Spine shows some darkening, rubbing and fraying. Pages are brown and crisp from age and binding is a bit crispy and worn.
