Item description from seller
Introducing a very rare and highly sought-after hardcover 1st edition of "Calalus: A Roman Jewish Colony in America from the Time of Charlemagne Through Alfred the Great" authored by Cyclone Covey. This exceptional copy holds significant historical value. Inscribed by the author as "for Robert S. cordially, Cyclone Covey," it carries a personal touch that enhances its uniqueness. The book is in VG- (Very Good Minus) condition, accompanied by a VG (Very Good) dust jacket. The jacket is in good shape, with a few small edge tears and light tanning. Notably, there is a 4-inch black line marked on the front of the jacket. Despite these minor imperfections, the jacket remains intact and adds to the overall appeal of the book. While there is light wear to the corners and spine ends, the overall appearance is well-preserved. The spine ends are slightly indented, adding character to the book. The black boards with gold spine lettering create an elegant contrast. The binding, while slightly rolled forward, remains intact. Inside, the pages are lightly tanned but clean, providing a pleasant reading experience. It is worth noting that there are sparse erased pencil markings within the book. Understanding the importance of protecting this remarkable find, we will carefully package it in a custom-made box and bubble wrap for added security during transit, safeguarding it from any potential environmental damage. As part of our commitment to excellent service, we provide a complimentary USPS electronic tracking number, allowing you to monitor your package's journey with ease and peace of mind. Cyclone Covey, a well-respected professor at Wake Forest University, fearlessly presented this controversial theory of a Roman Jewish colony in Tucson, Arizona, centuries before Christopher Columbus. Despite facing skepticism and resistance from his peers, he remained steadfast in his research and conclusions, inspiring his children to follow suit. The book unravels the story behind the Tucson Lead Crosses, presenting an honest and thorough assessment of the discovery. While some academics continue to challenge its authenticity, the evidence speaks for itself. This extraordinary publication sheds light on a remarkable chapter in history, challenging conventional narratives. Acquire this exceptional edition, backed by solid research, and embark on a journey that challenges established beliefs and explores the untold narratives of our past.

Store description
Alien Bindings is an online bookshop located in Baltimore that has been in operation for nearly 20 years. Alien Bindings caters to the sciences including the physical sciences, astronomy, mathematics, computer science, the social sciences and medicine. I also dabble in a wide array of other categories including antiquarian books and history.
I run a clean, green business. I try to reuse clean materials for packaging whenever possible. For example, books are carefully packaged frequently using clean cardboard for custom made boxes, recycled paper is used for printed labels and recycled plastic or bubble wrap is used for a weather-proof barrier. I drop the packages off to my local post office via foot or cycle in order to further reduce the carbon footprint.
