About this Item
First edition. Cover S. Quattrrocchi (?). 12mo. Pictorial wrappers. Binding very slightly cocked with modest wear and soil, a bright, very good or better copy. Inscribed to noted author, journalist, scholar, and anti-Fascist Giuseppe Antonio Borgese on the first page. Poetry by a pro-Fascist Sicilian (in the same year, he would publish a book titled *Al Duce*). In a printed introductory note framed as a letter addressed to "Amici e Poeti d'America," de Simone thanks Sicilian-Americans for naming an art group after him and says nice things about poetry, Sicily, Italy in general, Mussolini, etc. Six copies in *OCLC*, one in the U.S. (Georgetown, bound with another volume).
