Warmly inscribed by Maritain to his goddaughter at half-title, 'pour Doris | avec toute la tendresse | de son vieil ami | jacq' ('for Doris, with all the affection of her old friend Jacq'). Very good. Moderate sun-fading to spine, with some creasing; lightly worn at extremities, with a touch of soiling. Binding tight, text clean & bright.
